Live Nation Productions and Double E Pictures have signed up as executive producers for 'All I Can Say'
is said to be intimate account of Hoon’s final five years, exploring his creative process and family, the band’s rise to fame and his struggle with addiction.
Hoon diligently chronicled his own life, footage of which appears in the doc. He “filmed his daughter's birth, and archived the politics and culture of the 90s, an era right before the Internet changed the world,” reads a statement from the project’s producers. The documentary is getting all the right buzz having scooped prizes as the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, taken out best feature documentary at New Hampshire Film Festival and won the grand jury prize at Sound Unseen Festival. It’ll enjoy its international premiere Nov. 22 at the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam.
Blind Melon are best remembered for their joyful 1993 alt-rock song “No Rain,” which peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. Just two years later, Hoon was gone. He died Oct. 21, 1995 due to a heart attack brought on by a cocaine overdose. The Indiana native was just 28.was co-directed by Grammy-nominated filmmakers Danny Clinch, Taryn Gould, and Colleen Hennessey, and was produced by Lindha Narvaez, Samuel Gursky, and Taryn Gould.
Its executive producers are Eric Eisner , founder and CEO of Double E Pictures; Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation Entertainment; Ryan Kroft, Senior Vice President of Production & Development for Live Nation Productions; Danny Clinch and John Beug.
