CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela – The provincial government of Isabela has imposed a liquor ban to ensure the safety of the residents amid tropical storm “Enteng.”

Police Capt. Sacarlette M. Topinio, spokesperson of the Isabela police provincial office, said that police are deputized to monitor violators of Isabela Provincial Ordinance 2020-13-1 that imposes a liquor ban before, during, and after a tropical cyclone.

She reminded residents in the province not to buy, sell, or drink liquor during the period as they are automatically penalized once they are caught. Penalties are P2,000 to P3,000 and three-month imprisonment or both depending on the court’s decision. Establishments caught selling liquor will be meted a penalty of P4,000 to P5,000 or six-month imprisonment for owners and cancellation of business permit.TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Department of Public Works and Highways-Region 2 and its 11 District Engineering Offices have activated their Disaster and Incident Management Teams for Enteng.Quick Response Assets have been prepositioned.

All national roads and bridges in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino are passable as of posting time.
