Anyone else surprised that Zingone would argue for term limits using the example of a New York liberal yet ignore the two Republican officials who have been in office since 2002 who represent him? If Zingone were at all serious about this position, he had an opportunity to complain about it much closer to home.Re: “1 in 4 behind on bills, risk cutoff — City: Lost service, fines await those who don’t act by mid-September,” Thursday news story.
A college campus should absolutely be a place that cherishes and encourages free speech and even protest — no matter the viewpoint. It should also be a place that student activists, the future leaders of our country, learn the parameters and responsibilities associated with those critical first amendment rights including issue-neutral time, place and manner restrictions.A family member realized her driver’s license had expired.
