Who exactly are those who stand to gain vs. those who stand to lose? Be very careful with your calculations as to who you are representing, Mr. and Ms. Politician, and be very sure you are protecting your constituents.Nice to see that legislators now convening in Austin may do something for the people this term, with GOP Rep. Charlie Geren filing legislation for voters to weigh in on a constitutional amendment to legalize gambling.
This is a well-written and factual opinion. I support what this editorial is saying and would like to see more of this. Great opinion piece.As I consider the last two weeks in our country, we have seen injustice and mass gun violence. I ask myself, what can I do to ease the pain and help heal our country? I return again and again to the fight for reasonable gun control laws in our country.
It is difficult to spot the enemy when any average adult is legally, yes legally, allowed to walk down the street holding a military-style assault weapon designed to kill many people quickly.
