I read with interest the article about an investor group buying the Missions baseball club and building a new stadium downtown .
It was a dangerous situation coming and going. Gate 4 was stampeded when someone inside opened an outer door. I drive for a chauffeuring company. We have driven groups, corporate and private, to and from the Alamodome for more than 12 years. The Elton John concert was the first time someone got traffic control absolutely wrong. It was total chaos.
Had the city not blocked any streets, I think we all would have followed the signs, and pick-up and drop-off would have been much quicker. If I personally had not done some maneuvers that were, let’s say “novel,” my group would have been waiting till 1 a.m.Monday’s Editorial Page was a perfect example of why economics should be considered a religion, not a science.
