A reader and proud fan of the San Antonio FC, this year’s USL champions, wants future matches televised.One has to wonder how the San Antonio Police Department can release the body camera video of Councilman Clayton Perry’s encounter with a police officer four days after the incident. Most, if not all, previous high profile incidents involving body camera video have taken months and even years, lawsuits, finger-pointing, delay tactics, on and on.
What’s the explanation in this case? Based on what the video shows, I’m in no way defending Perry, but why is his case different from others with body camera footage?It seems the Express-News Editorial Board is extremely disappointed in the last election results. Evidently you do not agree with the majority of Texas residents who voted for the candidates you did not recommend. Believe it or not, we are not ignorant.Televise SAFC matches
Being that the Spurs own our soccer team, San Antonio FC, why do they not make an effort to secure a TV spot at least for away games so we, their supporters, can keep up with their matches? We missed their playoff game in their division, which they won to advance to the final match against the Eastern Division for the USL Championship.They had a great season and have made us proud.
