But the hearts and wallets of these kind individuals can give only so much. We need to realize that the migrants from Venezuela have been admitted to the country legally, and we should accept them. We need to help them until their immigration status is decided. We should remember what is written on the Statue of Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
