Letter: 'Follow the Prophets' repeated over and over 'predisposes young children to victimization by men in authority.'
By Chyrle See | The Public Forum, the writer described his experiences as a young boy being “indoctrinated” into the LDS Church, a process which was mysterious and somewhat frightening to him, describing it as “grooming.”I would not disagree.
It reminded me of the song and illustrations I recently saw online that are apparently taught in LDS Sunday schools. The message was “Follow the Prophets,” repeated over and over, illustrated by pictures and stories of Biblical prophets, and ending within an array of pictures of current LDS Church “prophets.
