Three San Antonio police officers were charged with murder after shooting the woman in her apartment.The family of a woman who was shot to death by San Antonio police officers will file a lawsuit against the city over her death, their attorney confirmed Sunday.
“We certainly are pursuing a civil case. There will be a lawsuit filed, I’m sure tomorrow or the next day,” Brent Packard said. Police officials said officers were called because she Perez was cutting the wires of an external fire alarm system at her apartment complex. Perez told officers she cut the fire alarm wires “because the FBI was listening to her," according to police documents.
The officers have been suspended from the force without pay. Flores has been with the San Antonio Police Department for 14 years, Alejandro for five years and Villalobos for two years, according to police officials.
