The former “Dancing With the Stars” judge, who died Saturday at age 78, said he thought he would be his father’s age when he passed away.
“My dad had the right idea,” Goodman“He loved gardening and he had a stroke while he was out in the garden. He was 79 so if I go the way of my dad, that’ll be next year.”Len Goodman predicted the day he would die in an interview last year.The “Dancing with the Stars” host sadly died at age 78 on Saturday.The ballroom dancing legend also told the outlet what to write in his obituary at the time: ”Just write: ‘He was a dance teacher from Dartford who got lucky.
“I’ve been with the show since it started in 2005 and it has been a huge pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful show but I’ve decided I want to spend more time with my children and family,” he said in November 2022.He retired from “DWTS” just six months before his passing.
