Amid the 3rd State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, labor groups will hold a protest action on Monday to urge the President to certify the proposed P150 wage hike increase.In an interview with Super Radyo dzBB, Nagkaisa Labor Coalition spokesperson Renato Magtubo said labor groups under the National Wage Coalition will assemble at 7 a.m. along University Avenue in Diliman, Quezon City.
“Ang panawagan namin sa SONA, President BBM i-certify mo na ng urgent ang mga wage bill sa kongreso at kay Speaker Romualdez na ipasa na, kasi ang status na ng bills dyan ay sa House of Representative naka tatlong hearing na yan sa labor committee. Kailangan ng committee report para isalang sa plenaryo,” Magtubo said.He added that Marcos should also address the lack of regular employment in the country and the increase in the prices of goods and services.
