Defending champion De La Salle and Ateneo renew their rivalry anew at the resumption of the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Green Archers, who booked the first Final Four berth a few days back, stake their six-game winning streak in their 6:30 p.m. affair with the resurgent Blue Eagles to improve their 9-1 win-loss record.
The Red Warriors tote a 5-3 win-loss record at third place while the Bulldogs carry a 2-7 mark at the bottom standings. “It will never change. Where you are right now, where you're standing, you're just going to forget everything because it's going to be Ateneo,” said Robinson, whose team also guns to reaffirm its mastery over the Eagles after beating them in the first round, 74-61, last Sept. 15.
Reigning MVP Kevin Quiambao is expected to lead his squad anew after starrring in La Salle’s 70-45 romp of Adamson, and is set to have ample support from Mike Phillips, Joshua David, Henry Agunnane and Raven Gonzales.
