North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited a Russian fighter jet factory on Friday, the fourth day of his visit to the country.
Kim toured the Yuri Gagarin Komsomolsk-on-Amur Plant with the city’s mayor, Alexander Zhornik, and the Khabarovsk Region Gov. Mikhail Degtyarev. This plant, which is in the far eastern Russian city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, manufactures advanced warplanes for the military, including the Su-35 and Su-57 fighter jets, according to Russian state media Tass.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that there were"no agreements" signed on a possible arms deal,"nor on any other topics," though government representatives from both countries have stressed the significance of increasing their cooperation with one another. A day earlier, he confirmed that Kim had invited Putin to visit North Korea and that the latter had accepted the invitation.
