The mother sent the kids to visit their father in Dallas and text messages between the two revealed the knew the father planned on ingesting the fentanyl and was aware of the risk it posed.
An Albuquerque mother who allegedly concealed a deadly dose of fentanyl inside her children’s luggage has been charged with a federal drug crime, announced U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Chad E. Meacham.
Surveillance video shows that the father picked up the boys from the gate, rifled through their luggage, and then entered the airport restroom at around 10:26 p.m. A few minutes later, he overdosed and died in a restroom stall, just steps away from his sons. They also recovered text messages between the victim and defendant, suggesting that the defendant knew the victim planned on ingesting the fentanyl and was aware of the risk it posed."Yes ma’am. Very slow and easy," he replied."No passing out on the kitchen floor," she responded. "Seriously you could od. No dying on the kitchen floor… It’s going to f**k you up!!!At the hearing, the prosecutor argued the defendant allegedly "used her minor children to mule drugs.
