Kent State WR transfer Devontez Walker, the playmaker Rutgers’ offense needs, recaps official visit
on Friday and flew him and his mom into Newark on Sunday afternoon for an official visit.
“I had never really seen anything like that especially coming from North Carolina Central and then Kent. So, I was amazed,” Walker said. “Apparently, I picked out a combination I don’t think they wore for a while,” Walker said. “So, everybody on the team thought it was dope.”“I never had that much fun walking around somewhere,” Walker said of the Empire State. “That was my first time in New York, so I was amazed at the lights and things like that.”
“He was just telling me what they could do for me there with his back story and coaching in the league and other places,” Walker said. “And him getting players to the league, to the draft and getting them prepared.
