Healthcare systems in the Bay Area, Pearland and Pasadena are expanding their presence....
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, HCA Houston Healthcare and TIRR Memorial Hermann have opened or are planning to open new facilities to meet the needs of growing populations.
“The acceleration necessitated not just hiring doctors but also that we had the facilities that would support the specific clinical services required to enable doctors to be able provide care to patients,” said John Lyle, senior vice president of healthcare service lines at, which has completed expansions to clinics in Pearland and Pasadena and is adding facilities to its Bay Area campus.
“I am passionate about being able to provide care to Pasadena, and for people to be able to stay in their community and have the support they need,” said LaDonna Lucas, practice administrator of Texas Oncology–Pasadena. “As an administrator with a nursing background, I get that some people may have transportation issues, or that they’re not feeling well. I want people to feel a calmness and peace when they walk in the door.
The 40,000-square-foot, free-standing cancer center will provide access to a range of oncology and hematology services including chemotherapy, radiation and infusion.In addition, the existing three-story clinic is undergoing a 25,000-square-foot expansion to include a 300-space parking garage. The Bay Area campus expansion is scheduled to be completed late this year.
