NEW: Kellyanne Conway and Nikki Haley clash over Trump's Elijah Cummings Baltimore house break-in tweet
Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley clashed on Friday afternoon over President Donald Trump's remark about a break-in at Congressman Elijah Cummings' home.
"Really bad news! The Baltimore house of Elijah Cummings was robbed. Too bad!" Trump tweeted on Friday morning. The president's tweet came days after called Cummings a"bully" and said Baltimore was a"rat and rodent infested mess." Several hours later, Haley, who left her position as Trump's ambassador in October 2018, replied,"This is so unnecessary," along with a rolling eyes emoji.
Conway in the early afternoon quote tweeted Haley and remarked,"THIS is so unnecessary Trump-PENCE2020." Journalist Yashar Ali noted that Conway's post was"the First reaction to Haley's tweet from the White House."
