At this morning’s King’s Cup regatta on the Isle of Wight in England, the Duchess of Cambridge showed exactly how royal nautical style is done.
. Short-sleeved with multi-colored stripes, the piece worked beautifully with her wide-legged L.K. Bennet trousers and white Superga sneakers.
Though she changed into a windbreaker and shorts to skipper her vessel, Middleton still managed to deliver a fresh take on seafaring style, skipping her usual Breton stripes in favor of something playful. With its orange tones and ruffled peplum, her top stood out amidst all the button-downs and basic sweaters.
The race was more than a showcase for fashion: its proceeds will benefit eight of the Duke and Duchess’s favorite charities. A friendly competition all for a great cause, it gave the Duchess another opportunity to shine.
