THE WOODLANDS — Kat Matthews could hear a word being shouted at her from the spectators from time to time during her Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas – The Americas Championship triathlon race Saturday.Just a few miles away from where she crossed the finish line as champion, Matthews was in a training accident on Honea Egypt Road, north of FM 1488, on the morning of Sept. 25, 2022.
