MANILA, Philippines — Filipino gymnast Karl Eldrew Yulo continues to show his immense promise by the day.
The 16-year-old pulled off an eight-gold sweep as he led the Philippine team's 14-gold haul at the Hong Kong Artistic Gymnastics International Invitational Championships which concluded this recent weekend in Hong Kong , China.Ending the year with a bang, Yulo topped the individual all-around, floor exercise, vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar, pommel horse and still rings events.
At the seniors division, Juancho Miguel Besana grabbed three gold medals after ruling the individual all-around, floor exercise, and pommel horse events while also adding one more in the all-around team contest.Besana plucked a silver each in still rings, parallel bars, and vault plus a bronze in horizontal bar to add to his medal haul.
