In light of the liberal media's latest attempt to demonize traditional conservative values, Harrison Butker seems to be winning against cancel culture.
Butker, who was the keynote speaker at Benedictine College’s commencement, encouraged graduates to embrace their Catholic faith. And per the liberalplatforms mainly focusing on the comments Butker made in reference to his wife and her vocation as a mother, which to the liberal social media mob is a cancelable offense.
But according to the family of the Kansas City Chiefs CEO, Clark Hunt, Butker’s speech is defensible. In an Instagram post last week, Clark’s wife, Tavia Hunt, captioned a series of photos showcasing her two daughters, Gracie and Ava, in response to the backlash.to be highly educated and chase their dreams,” Tavia said, “But I also want them to know that I believe finding a spouse who loves and honors you as or before himself and raising a family together is one of the greatest blessings this world has to offer.
Without specifically referring to Butker’s speech, Tavia vocalized support of the traditional ideals of gender roles that Butker advocated in the address at Benedictine. “Affirming motherhood and praising your wife, as well as highlighting the sacrifice and dedication it takes to be a mother, is not bigoted,” Tavia added. “It is empowering to acknowledge that a“I can only speak from my own experience, which is I had the most incredible mom who had the ability to stay home and be with us as kids growing up,” Gracie said.
