Young Filipino big man Kai Sotto is expected to fly to Japan soon to reconnect with the Hiroshima Dragonflies as they prepare for the upcoming new B.League season.
The 7-foot-3 slotman's agent Tony Ronzone confirmed that Sotto is still with the Dragonsflies, amid news circulating that the Gilas young stalwart is no longer in the Japanese ballclub's roster.'Yes he is ,' was Ronzone's short reply to the Manila Times when asked to comment on Sotto's status with the Dragonflies.
Sotto, who played just 73 seconds in Gilas' World Cup debut game against Dominican Republic, managed to get his groove back shortly thereafter, as he went on to average six points and four rebounds in the tournament.The left-handed son of former PBA player Ervin, churned out his best output of 12 points and six rebounds in 19 minutes of play in Gilas' big win over China.
