.justtranter has fought for equality in the music industry -- and on Sunday night, they received an honor for their hard work in doing so
On Sunday night , Tranter was honored with the ACLU Bill of Rights Award, along with actor Don Cheadle, for their continued activism work both in and out of the music industry. According to the Souther California chapter of the ACLU's, Tranter was honored for being "an outspoken and powerful voice for the LGBTQIA+ community, diversity, the climate crisis, arts education, animal rights and ending gun violence.
Tranter took to their social media to share the news, thanking everyone in attendance for the special honor. "Tonight I was given the ACLU Bill Of Rights Award from the @aclu_socal - this honor means way more to me than I can express," they wrote. "I was SO humbled by everyone in that room ... Let’s keep fighting the good fight with smiles on our faces.
Gomez presented Tranter with the award at the dinner, and they made sure to say that having her there "made it even more special."
