A United States jury has sided with Paradigm Sports Management in its lawsuit against its former talent and world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. | via philstarlife
Paradigm Sports ManagementThe sports management firm filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Pacquiao in 2021 for appointing another promotional company, TGB To recall, the said match saw an injured Spence substituted with Yordenis Ugas to become Pacquiao's opponent in the latter's final professional fight.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, argued that Paradigm failed to provide him with fights and endorsements, in addition toParadigm's legal representative Judd Bernstein said in a closing argument that Pacquiao made it difficult for the sports management firm to do its job since he allegedly hid his preexisting agreements with TGB Promotions, leading others to interfere with their attempts to arrange a match.
"It’s always nice to have justice done. Manny Pacquiao’s behavior in this case was disgraceful. As I said to the jury, he’s an extraordinary athlete, and he has an extraordinary story, but that doesn't mean he gets a pass on being a decent human being," Bernstein welcomed the jury's decision.
