Queen pleaded not guilty to the charges by reason of insanity. The charges stem from an incident that happened on May 25, 2022. Officers were inside the substation on East Woodrow Avenue when they heard a “deliberate” shot being fired into the building. Officers went outside to see Queen drive away, then turned around and headed back to fire more shots at the substation.
Police got into cruisers and pursued Queen north on Parsons Avenue and throughout German Village before the high-speed chase ended. Police said at some point, Queen struck a bystander’s vehicle with gunshots.Queen will be sentenced on May 1.
