BOISE — Idaho Judge Steven Boyce approved a request Tuesday from media outlets to broadcast the verdict in the Lori Vallow Daybell murder trial.
He said the court will broadcast the verdict on its official YouTube channel. The court entered an order prohibiting video and photographic coverage of the trial in September. Boyce said much of the rationale for removing visual coverage does not apply after the closing arguments in the case have been made.
Tuesday marks the 20th day of testimony in the trial for Daybell. Nicole Heideman, a tactical specialist with the FBI, is testifying about digital information found in their investigation. Lori Daybell is charged with murder, conspiracy and grand theft in the deaths of her two children, 7-year-old JJ Vallow and 16-year-old Tylee Ryan. She is also charged with conspiracy in connection with the death of Tammy Daybell, her new husband's previous wife. Chad Daybell is charged with murder for the same three deaths.
On Monday, Doug Hart, former FBI special agent, went through text messages from Lori Daybell's iCloud account — saying the evidence shows Lori and Chad Daybell anticipated the deaths of JJ and Tylee."Do you think there is a perfectly orchestrated plan to take the children? And we just have to wait for it to be carried out?" she asked Chad Daybell. "I feel lost. Like I should be doing something to help.
