The State of Idaho requests a summer 2024 trial date for Bryan Kohberger who is accused of killing four University of Idaho students in November 2022. has ruled that the defense will be allowed to continue a phone survey of potential jurors in the area.
The Defense argued that the questions were formulated by a defense expert, Bryan Edelman, who formulated the questions from reading and watching various news articles and broadcasts from both mainstream media and social media. Judge Judge ruled that since the hearings were public, and none of the court records surrounding these hearings have been sealed, both questions are now a part of the "public record," and therefore admissible for the defense to use in their questionnaire.
