When asked for his plea, Kohberger remained silent.
Kohberger's attorney rose and said "your honor, we are standing silent" and the judge then entered not guilty pleas for himon charges that included four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary, according to the documents filed in Latah County District Court.
He is alleged to have killed Ethan Chapin, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21. Two other students who were in the house at the time survived and were not treated as suspects. DNA matching Kohberger's was found on a knife sheath left on one of the victim's beds, officials said.
