Jackass co-creator Johnny Knoxville kicked WWE star Sami Zayn out of the recent Jackass Forever premiere, making good on previous threats to keep the wrestler away from the event. In the years since the stunt franchise first began, Knoxville and the rest of the crew have taken on all sorts of side projects away from the primary demands of Jackass.
When Knoxville first made the announcement that he would be taking part in – and winning – the 2022 edition of the famed WWE event, he seemed so convinced of his abilities that for some, the idea of him actually winning wasn’t that far-fetched. After all, Knoxville has spent decades risking his personal well-being in all different sorts of hilariously bizarre ways, even getting knocked out by heavyweight boxer Eric “Butterbean” Esch.
The entire incident seems to suggest that a genuine rivalry is brewing between the two stars and it also hints that this won’t be the last time that the two meet. Knoxville has previously mentioned that his family wants him to retire from the Jackass franchise, especially after his most recent injury sustained while filming Jackass Forever.
It’s also not out of the realm of possibility, should Jackass Forever find enough success to justify a sequel , that Zayn could even appear in a fifth Jackass film. In this way, Knoxville could return for a part in the next film and potentially introduce a stunt that could work as anything from a duel to a method by which to cause them both hilarious amounts of pain.
