“I’m embarrassed for myself, I’m embarrassed for my family, I’m embarrassed for the Cleveland baseball team and I’m embarrassed for the city of Cleveland and all my fans,' Charboneau said in a statement.
Charboneau was later charged with domestic violence, violating a protection order and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors. He pleaded not guilty Monday in Berea Municipal Court after spending the weekend in the North Royalton jail.
Charboneau, of Olmsted Falls, was released on $1,000 bond after his arraignment Monday. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15 in Berea court. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
