Maker of the iconic Gorillapod is entering the pro audio market with the Joby Wavo PRO range of microphones and audio kit.
To get the best from the Wavo PRO, there’s a simple dedicated digital sound management app for both iOS and Android devices. Joby has used Bluetooth to connect to the Wavo PRO mic so that creators can monitor the audio signal in real-time on their smartphones.
The Wavo PRO DS’s is plug-and-play and has a simple user interface with the basic controls for audio capture. Additional features include a high-pass filter for removing unwanted low frequencies in real-time. An onboard safe track for mono or dual channel recording plus LEDs indicate real-time battery and audio levels are also included. ... [+]The third new JOBY product to be announced is the Wavo AIR an ‘instant-pairing’ wireless microphone kit that offers more freedom when recording sound.
Wavo AIR uses 2.4 GHz wireless technology and is small enough to fit in a pocket. The microphones can either be used hands-free using Joby’s mounting system that includes magnetic mount lanyard, belt clip or cold shoe mount. The transmitters include both TRS and TRRS cables so they work straight out of the box with smartphones and cameras.
