Soaring Heights was among 11 schools statewide to receive the honor this year .
Soaring Heights Charter School in Jersey City celebrated its designation as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education last week.
The prestigious title, awarded to the school in September, goes to the most academically successful schools in the country. Soaring Heights was among 11 schools statewide to receive the honor this year and the only K-8 school in Hudson County to receive both the National Blue Ribbon School Award as well as the National ESEA Distinguished School Award.A celebration at the Romar Avenue school includes Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, Hudson County Commissioner Bill O’Dea, City Council members, and other guests from the local and state levels.
