“I’m sorry, but it’s just so late in the game. Where have you been?” Jennifer Coolidge said.
However, it quickly became apparent to the actors that Garner didn’t know the fate of Coolidge’s character, Tanya McQuoid. If you’ll remember, Tanya dies in Season 2 while trying to escape a bunch of gay men trying to kill her on a boat. While Coolidge was saying she’d hoped that if she “did a good enough job” on Season 2 that series creator Mike White wouldn’t kill her character, Garner interjected to ask if her character’s assistant Portia was the one who killed her.
“Greg just left,” Garner said, which means she’s likely just finished the second episode of Season 2. “The pity on your face,” she continued to Melanie. “It’s such a shock,” Melanie responded.“I’m sorry, but it’s just so late in the game. Where have you been?” Coolidge jokingly asked Garner, who seemed to take the ribbing well.Garner is understandably very busy, as Coolidge noted.
