MANILA, Philippines — TNT veteran guard Jayson Castro knows winning a championship requires the contribution of everyone.

No wonder, when Castro was named the Finals Most Valuable Player following TNT 's title conquest of the Governors' Cup, the 38-year-old long-time PBA superstar shared the credit to his teammates.'If you'll notice, even the Best Player of the conference, we had no candidate because we played as a team,' Castro said in Filipino, as he referred to the top individual award for the conference, which San Miguel star center June Mar Fajardo won for an unprecedented 11th time.

As such, Castro shared the Finals MVP award to every member of the TNT side, which defeated Barangay Ginebra, 4-2 in their title series.'For me, this MVP is not for me, but it's for the whole team,' he added.Though Castro has been slowed down by an assortment of injuries in recent years, TNT combo guard's vast experience came out in handy during the Finals.
