Before Titanic’s epic return to theaters, James Cameron is testing popular theories that Jack could’ve survived in a new 25th Anniversary special.
As audiences prepare to step back into Titanic to re-experience its gripping love story, National Geographic is set to debut an upcoming special titled Titanic: 25 Years Later with James Cameron that will finally answer the 25-year-long debate if Jack could have survived the ill-fated voyage by staying on the floating door with Rose .
COLLIDER VIDEO OF THE DAY Cameron previously commented on the debate in an interview with Vanity Fair.“I think it’s all kind of silly, really, that we’re having this discussion 20 years later," He said. "But it does show that the film was effective in making Jack so endearing to the audience that it hurts them to see him die. Had he lived, the ending of the film would have been meaningless . . . The film is about death and separation; he had to die.
