Tonight, we're giving you a preview of this year's CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival, with a look back at the first year of the event! Tune into 13WHAM ABC at 7:30 p.m. for our annual 'Jam Session' hosted by DanSchrack and abbyfridmannTV.
The 2023 CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival starts Friday, but before things kick off, we're bringing you a special preview of this year's action.Good Day Rochester anchors Dan Schrack and Abby Fridmann are hosting "Jam Session — Inside the CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival" — our annual look ahead at the nine-day event. It will air Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. on 13WHAM ABC.
It will include interviews with headliners, some of the young talent taking part, and, to mark the festival's 20th anniversary edition, a look back at the first year of the event. "They should have had the international jazz festival come here 25 years ago," said Ruther Sheppard, the former owner of Shep's Paradise, at the inaugural festival back in 2002.
