ILOILO CITY – The Jalaur High Dam started impounding water on Wednesday, May 8.
The dam is part of the Jalaur River Multi-Purpose Project Stage 2 in Calinog, Iloilo.
'At the moment, we are in the initial stages of the impoundment process. We are now focusing on the waterway, which is our current target for the plugging procedure,' Cordero said.National Irrigation Administration projections showed that in the first month of the impounding procedure, they are targeting the water level of the dam to reach an elevation of 123 meters or 39 meters above sea level.
