Jahan Dotson was the 16th-pick in the NFL Draft, and he was gearing up for rookie minicamp Saturday before his coach told him not to miss out on his graduation.
Dotson explained that he, too, reconsidered and went because of what the moment meant to him and his family.

Dotson tweeted out a photo of him in cap and gown Saturday alongside a photo of him at a practice with the Commanders and wrote, “Can’t even explain how blessed I am. Constantly thanking the man above.” Dotson wasn’t the only former Penn State star to get his degree Saturday. Former Nittany Lions star and current New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley kept a promise to his parents, and also became a graduate.
