J-pop singer gen_senden kicks off PopVirusWorldTour in Shanghai
on Saturday , with his first-ever show in Shanghai at the National Exhibition & Convention Center Hong Arena.
The "Idea" artist's four-stop, five-concert international tour sold out in succession soon after tickets went on sale. The Shanghai venue was filled with a certain kind of tension as his fans in China waited in anticipation for the J-pop star's first-ever show in the area to begin, and welcomed him with loud cheers and applause the moment he appeared onstage.
Hoshino opened his set with the title song of the tour, "POP VIRUS," which immediately brought the audience to their feet. After addressing his fans in Chinese, he performed a string of hits including "SUN," "Doraemon," and his smash-hit number from 2016, "Koi."
