The U.K. TV giant, led by CEO Carolyn McCall, also provided updates on ITV Studios and its BritBox streaming business.
Revenue for the first nine months of 2021 rose 28 percent over the same period in 2020 and 8 percent over the comparable period in pre-coronavirus pandemic year 2019.
In a financial update on Wednesday, the company also reported an increase in total revenue for the first nine months of the year, including at production arm ITV Studios, and provided an update on its streaming business. “Total advertising revenue for 2021 is expected to be the highest in ITV’s history,” up around 24 percent, the company said. “TAR was up 30 percent for the 9 months to the end of September 2021, with July up 68 percent, August up 24 percent and September up 16 percent compared to the same period in 2020.” Advertising VOD revenue “remains very strong, up 54 percent to the end of September compared to the same period in 2020,” the company added.
