Israel's military massed troops on the border with Gaza as airstrikes pummeled the Palestinian enclave in the wake of Saturday's attack by Hamas.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Thursday he had no evidence that Hezbollah militants were amassing on Lebanon's border with Israel, which would be a warning the conflict inside Israel could widen. The U.S.
has warned Hezbollah and other adversaries of Israel not to join the fight. 'This is something that the Israelis are focused on,' he told reporters in Brussels. 'We are also looking for additional things that could widen the conflict here and hopefully we won't see those things but that we've not seen them to this point.'
