No state has 'perfect' drivers, but some states are better than others

, who compare insurance quotes for motorists shopping for coverage. The study mined data regarding crashes, the number of speeding tickets issued and DUIs from its own coffers with assistance from the Federal Highway Administration to come up with the list.
Regardless, a massive recent rise in traffic tickets as well as highway fatalities in Maine have bumped the “pine tree state” from the seventh worst in the nation to #1 – there was an increase of a whopping 1,500 auto crashes from 2016 to 2017, according to Maine.gov.
