After being the villain of all five Michael Bay Transformers movies, many are wondering if the Deception Megatron will be in Rise of the Beasts.
With Transformers: Rise of the Beasts set to premiere in June 2023, many are wondering whether Megatron will appear in the film. Throughout the Transformers franchise, Megatron has always been one of the core antagonists as the leader of the Decepticons. The same can be said for the Transformers film series, with all five Michael Bay movies including Megatron as a main villain in each entry.

If indeed it is confirmed that the film serves as a way to reboot the franchise, working more as a standalone sequel to Bumblebee rather than a prequel to Michael Bay's films, Megatron could be set up towards the end of the movie.
Why It Makes Sense If Megatron Isn't In Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts While it would be great to see Megatron appear in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, it makes a lot of sense for him to be missing from the film. The villains of Rise of the Beasts are the Terrorcons, a subsection of the Decepticons. This means that Megatron's absence makes sense, as his Decepticon clan will not be present in the film either.
