Early results suggest President Joko Widodo is leading race against Prabowo Subianto in Indonesia’s election

"Indications from exit polls and quick counts, we have seen all, but we must be patient and wait for the KPU's official tabulation," he told a news conference, during which he said the elections had been "honest and fair." More than 190 million Indonesians cast a ballot as polls opened shortly after 2200 GMT in restive Papua. A record 245,000 candidates are running for public office in the world's third-biggest democracy, from the presidency and parliamentary seats to local positions.
