And while every speaker brought with them their own traumatic history and pain, they all expressed gratitude for the gathering and shared ways we can all take more action to advance reconciliation — from simply educating your grandpa at the dinner table, to tackling one or more of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action.
With Metis family members, Petrowsky said being there Thursday was an important example to set for the rest of her school.
