Former Trump insider weighs in on why some Republicans are hitting back at the left.
Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump speaks at a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2024, in New York. Ex-Trump White House aide Alyssa Farah Griffin explained how President Joe Biden‘s recent comments could hurt the Democrats’ messaging as Election Day inches closer.
She said Biden’s “‘garbage’ comments are political gold for the Right & remind voters of being called ‘deplorables.’“ She added that this could hurt chances with undecided voters, but explained the ”direct line” between the late John McCain to Sen. Mitt Romney to Trump. "There’s a direct line from good men in politics like McCain & Mitt Romney being unfairly demonized by the left - to Trump. A lot of R’s decided if the Left was going to tear down good men who play fair, why not put up a bully to hit back," she added.
