The turtles have been receiving care at IMMS after being stranded up north in extreme cold temperatures leaving them cold-stunned.

“It was really cool to see how everybody, just like the community came together,” IMMS stranding intern Sophia Burke said. “Like I knew them, so some of my favorites that I get to work with has been like Gleb and then Gyro was actually one of my first hotline calls that I responded to, so that was very interesting to be able to watch him play out with his medical exams, his bloodwork tests and then seeing him released today,” IMMS stranding intern Emily Fayard said.
