PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday greeted Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio on her 45th birthday and advised her to ignore the 'tambaloslos' around her. READ HERE:
'Inday Sara, happy birthday. I hope you enjoy yourself and take a break from work,' Marcos said in the Visayan language.'I hope you make some time for yourself and ignore the tambaloslos around you,' he added, laughing.Tambaloslos is a Visayan term used to attack or insult someone's character; others say it means stupid. On Google, tambaloslos refers to a 'mythical creature' with a large mouth and penis found in Visayan, Bicolano, and Mindanao folklore.
Her post came after major shake-ups in the House of Representatives and her resignation as chairman from Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats.Duterte-Carpio's resignation, for which she did not cite any reason, happened on the heels of former president and Pampanga 2nd District Rep. Gloria Arroyo being stripped of her senior House deputy speaker position.Arroyo, who was quick to squash rumors that she tried to stage a coup against Speaker Martin Romualdez, is Duterte-Carpio's mentor.
