The best fast food chain in the world has brought back yet another favorite menu item.

I know plenty of Taco Bell aficionados who swear by the volcano taco and the volcano burrito, items that first graced the menu back in 1995. as much as I love the Bell, I won’t pretend to remember these items. Never had ‘em. Didn’t get them when they were back on the menu in 2009, either. But it doesn’t matter. If Taco Bell makes something, I have enough blind faith in their cheesy gordita greatness that it will be great.

As much as I enjoy the Volcano Menu, I wouldn’t venture to put it in the upper echelon of Taco Bell items. That class is reserved for the cheesy gordita crunch, the crunchwrap supreme and the chalupa, which all feature unique structures and textures. Add lava sauce to any of those, though? Now we’re talking. And maybe hiccuping.
