The England football manager says he wants to use his profile to help children's hospices such as Martin House in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, which are struggling for funding
“Definitely, the realities of what’s needed to allow this place to run every year, the additional need to modernise and provide the facilities that this specific project is going to have,” he said. “I’m also very conscious that there are huge demands on everybody, that’s why were only going public for this final bit, we’ve been able to get some amazing donations from incredible people and we know that, it’s a big ask at this time, but I think when you hear the stories, every little bit here will help.”
“In some ways they are very normally children leading rich lives, but they are dealing with unimaginable challenges,” said Ms Chand. “Martin House is a place where our children can come and be children and we can come and be a family with all the medical stuff in the background for a little while.
